Hey all!
I've jus' recently moved back to VT, and am lookin' to network with any fire throwing people....
Drop a line my way if you know anyone...or if you are one!
I've been throwing fire for 'bout 8 years now, and throughout my travels have been inspired to organize a group of like minded folk in my home state

Fire dancer right here, pending how you mean it.
I am currently a fire poi spinner, and fire hooper.
I am a intermediate beginner in belly dancing, am hoping to find a place to take more
classes (soon!) and include palm torches/fans.
I live in Southern Central Vermont. -

Re: Fire?
Mon, June 9, 2008 - 9:29 AMI am trading tribal bellydance lessons for fire lessons with one of my students right now. SHe does fire fans primarily, but we are working on fire belts soon. I just took a fan techniques workshop with Kaeshi Chi of NYC over the weekend - it was with silk fans, but I can't wait to play with fire fans and see what can cross over.
You should come to the Khafif workshop on the 21st of June in Randolph! I am cohosting Safa for an Integrations and Isolations workshop.

Mon, June 9, 2008 - 10:55 AMOh Kaytee....
Firebelts? I've never heard of them before. Silk fans are lots of fun ( i have 2 pairs, one long tails, one a short 4" bit).
I would possibly come to the workshop, but I am unfortunately working that weekend..though it would be fun to meet up.

Tue, August 12, 2008 - 7:51 AMHi All!
Danielle, I miss you so much, I'm moving back home! (Ok, well not really, but I am moving back!) :P
Faye: I'm soo SO glad you got a ticket for Wildfire! Can't wait to welcome you home again! ;D (*hugs*)
For everyone else:
HI! My name's Holly, I'm an awesome person (so they tell me), and I spin fire. I'm mostly into Contact Staff, but I've a decent knowledge of poi, fans, fingers, some dart, and recently started with hoop. I can also safety for any crazy-ass toy you might want to spin. My home is in Manchester, VT, and it is always ALWAYS open to wonderful people.
As I mentioned above, I will be moving home to Manchester in a little under 2 weeks. Starting September 1st I will be available for fun, fire & freakery (geekery + freaky fun) (er.. freaky fun + geekery). I would love to start a monthly potluck get together for people who want to spin/learn new moves, etc. I have space for burning & space for crashing, with some camping space.
My background in the fire community: I'm a Wildfire Organizer, and I've been involved with the Boston Spinjam Scene for roughly 2 years. They are awesome people, I've learned a ton. I like to consider myself an intermediate/advanced to advanced staff spinner, with plenty of room for growth.
Drop me a line if ya'll are interested in getting together for Fire, or for anything else!
Huzzah for adventures!
